Data - MC Comparison

The plots shown here are from NA62 2016 data and are produced by modifications of code written by Giuseppe Ruggiero and Connor Graham.

     The plots show comparisons of data with MC
     K+ ->  mu+  + nu      and
     K+ ->  pi+  + pi0

Data - black, MC - green. Plots are shown only when there are entries in both data and MC.
The plots are mainly those coded by Giuseppe and Connor.

COMPARE WITH MUON CHANNEL
-------------------------

Muon Channel, KaonEventAnalysis Muon Channel, KaonEventAnalysis: projections of scatterplots There are small differences in Plots 1, 6, 28 , for K+ parameters. Why holes in plot 4 ? Good agreement ( apart from small tails in data) for missing mass to muon (plot 222). The straw plots show some differences between MC and data, see 249 onwards. In particular, the MC ( 250 , 255) shows peaks that are not present in the data.

Muon Channel, TrackAnalysis Muon Channel, TrackAnalysis: projections of scatterplots Why is ltest (64) different between data and MC?

Muon Channel, OneTrackEventAnalysis Muon Channel, OneTrackEventAnalysis: Projections of scatterplots The majority of discrepancies are probably due to the difference in event multiplicity between data and MC. Data has strong K+ peak - plot 64.

Muon Channel, TwoPhotonAnalysis Muon Channel, TwoPhotonAnalysis: Projections of scatterplots Nothing of particular interest. COMPARE WITH PION CHANNEL -------------------------

Pion Channel, KaonEventAnalysis Pion Channel, KaonEventAnalysis: projections of scatterplots

Pion Channel, TrackAnalysis Pion Channel, TrackAnalysis: projections of scatterplots

Pion Channel, OneTrackEventAnalysis Pion Channel, OneTrackEventAnalysis: Projections of scatterplots

Pion Channel, TwoPhotonAnalysis Pion Channel, TwoPhotonAnalysis: Projections of scatterplots Plot 22 TwoPhotonAnalysis/Clusters_all_time: no timing for LKr? Plot 26 TwoPhotonAnalysis/MipClusterEnergy_zoom: small shift. Plot 29 TwoPhotonAnalysis/EMClusterEnergy: energy shift? Plot 40 TwoPhotonAnalysis/TwoEMClusterTime: width differs.
