I have been in Glasgow since December 1997 having previously worked at the Max Planck Institute for Nuclear Physics in Heidelberg, the Max Planck Institute for Physics in Munich, Harvard University and the University of Illinois. My research has taken me to work at Fermilab (USA), DESY (Hamburg) and CERN (Geneva).
I work in Experimental Particle Physics. I am a member of the CDF experiment. We are in hot in pursuit of the Higgs. For details on CDF, start at our local web site.
Some useful CDF links: Glasgow CDF Analysis
The main work now is on the Higgs and we closing in on CDF and preparing on the Atlas experiment at the CERN Large Hadron Collider, to explore the origin of mass and the forces which control nature. For technical details on ATLAS, start at our local web site.
Previously I worked with the
Heavy Flavours
and talked in 1999 at the
UK Phenomenology Workshop on Collider Physics in Durham.
Also worked on ALEPH
ALEPH Detector at CERN on the
LEP accelerator .
I was also involved in e-science and worked
on the CDF version of the
SAM (Sequential Access through Metadata)
Project.
The original SAM
was developed for the D0 experiment
and being considered by the
GridPP collaboration
as a first working example of a
DataGrid.
