I am a particle physicist working on collider experiments at the high energy frontier as a member of the CDF and ATLAS collaborations at Fermilab and CERN. My interests are in precision measurements in QCD/electroweak physics and in electroweak symmetry breaking, searching for the Higgs boson and new physics using advanced analysis techniques. I was until recently co-Head of Offline for the CDF experiment and I have been convener of the W/Z working group at CDF. I am co-convener of the ATLAS-UK Standard Model working group. I have interests in high-performance computing and in possible future linear colliders. I currently hold a lectureship at the University of Glasgow. Before coming to Glasgow in 2004 I studied at Emmanuel College, Cambridge, and in Oxford. In 2012 I was elected the youngest Fellow of the Institute of Physics.
Academic Qualifications: MA, MSci (Cambridge), DPhil (Oxford)
Professional Accreditations: CPhys, FInstP
Outreach
I am Outreach Coordinator for the PPE group. I run the Glasgow Particle Physics Masterclass and have given many Saturday Morning masterclasses in the RSE series as well as talks to school groups and at the Glasgow Science Centre, CPD for Scottish physics teachers, participating in the Glasgow University Science Festival, and giving evening classes in physics for the Open Programme.
